My Journey
About Me
I set up Therapy Connect in 2000 to create a balance between my work and family life, allowing me to build a career that I am passionate about. Over the years, I’ve gained a wealth of experience in emotional and physical well-being, beginning as a holistic therapist focused on relieving tension and stress. Over time, as I deepened my practice I noticed how stress-related symptoms were stored in the body, impacting our emotional well-being, relationships, and daily life.
I wanted to offer more to help people understand and heal the powerful connection between the mind and body. That’s why, in 2017, I expanded my practice to include Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Hypnotherapy and Life Coaching, and went on to train further as an integrative counsellor. This has allowed me to offer even more holistic and emotionally attuned support, helping clients to deepen and enrich their relationship with themselves and others.
As a counsellor and therapeutic coach, I offer a blend of healing approaches to help you navigate life’s challenges. My own personal journey has been both empowering and transformative, giving me the skills to offer a compassionate, therapeutic and nurturing space for change. I feel privileged to have a job I love – one that allows me to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. I am dedicated to helping you bring out the very best of yourself, unravel what’s holding you back and step forward with confidence and clarity, whether the changes you long for are big or small.
Personal growth is a lifelong journey, and I continue to learn and evolve as a therapist, bringing that dedication to the work I do with others.
Why do I do this work
I’m deeply motivated by curiosity and a genuine desire to connect with and help others. My fascination with the mind and its ability to adapt and change drives me to take a mind-body approach to well-being. I’m passionate about supporting people in finding new paths, building confidence, to create true healing, health, vibrancy, and alignment.
I believe in a holistic, multidisciplinary approach to being well. Our well-being is interconnected – what affects one part of us impacts the whole. Human beings are not neatly compartmentalised, with a box for physical health, one for emotional health and one for spiritual growth. By integrating key psychological pillars (self-regulation, cognitive attention, emotion management, stress resilience, and self-understanding), I help clients manage life events, cultivate new insights, restore balance and integrate meaningful change in their lives.
Healing and being well is an ongoing journey, and I am honoured to guide you with tailored support, focusing on one step at a time, fostering trust, and allowing for ripple effects of transformation. It is my passion and joy to combine the healing approaches aimed at these different levels of our being and facilitate them in a way that is tailored to your unique needs.
What I Offer:
I believe the most important relationship is the one we cultivate with ourselves. In our work together, I offer a safe, nurturing space for you to reflect, explore your emotions and become more attuned to your triggers, needs and inner wisdom. My tranquil, purpose-built garden cabin provides a peaceful environment where you can make sense of things, build healthy boundaries, creating nuturing self-care practices, and discover calming rituals to support your well-being.
Above all, my aim is to enable you in reconnecting with your purpose, passion and fulfilment, so you can live your life wholeheartedly.
